I’m so sorry for the trouble, but the PDF is not available to pre-order backers. It was only available for folks who pledged during the live Kickstarter project.

Where Is My Survey?
The survey is going to come from BackerKit. You may want to check your Spam/Junk folder to see if the survey went there by mistake. :)
If you ordered after the campaign closed on Kickstarter (a “pre-order”), then you don’t have a survey. Your selections in the pre-order store is the survey.

What happens next to John Staats after this Kickstarter?
Depending on whether I get their attention, I’ll be selling “Amazon versions” of The WoW Diary though other channels, if the distributors want to give me the time of day.
I’ll attend a few conventions to sell my book (see my web page whenitsready.com for appearances), and test my next project: a dungeon-crawl board game unlike anything you’ve seen before. It’ll have fast gameplay, simple rules, and engaging boss fights. I’m SUPER excited about it. Sign up to my web page’s email list if you want previews. :D

What happens after this campaign ends? When do I get my eBook/PDF?
The paper is ordered at of 9/19/2018. As it is being delivered, I’ll work on The WoW Diary files to prepare them for press. The emails for eBook/PDF distribution will be sent in mid-to-late October. When Kickstarter money is collected from you (after the campaign) I’ll send the surveys, emails, and prepare for my trip to the printer. For a few weeks I’ll be on press, signing off on the book (and signing the signed copies). The fulfillment houses will delivery the goods when they get them, and I’ll begin an account with Amazon to sell books online in 2019.

Will the supplemental booklets/Showcase Editions be available after the campaign?
Doubtful at best. Slip-cases need to be manufactured early, in order to make the December delivery estimation, so there will be a small amount of extras. I will use them as promotional copies or put them on Amazon, but they will NOT be signed, nor will they house the Gold Kickstarter Edition of The WoW Diary. They will contain supplemental books and the Amazon version of The WoW Diary.

Will The WoW Diary be available on Amazon?
Yes, it is available now on Amazon. The Kickstarter edition will never me made available again. I am printing on a web press the Amazon Edition which is hardbound, and full-color throughout.
The Amazon versions will be sold at $49.99 and be distributed via Amazon’s fulfillment system. Shipping costs are vastly reduced when ordering through Amazon.

Will I receive my reward by Christmas?
I don’t know. My December delivery is an estimate.
There are delays in paper purchasing, as of 9/19/2018 my printer has place an order for paper without any money down. This is highly unusual for his company, but we cannot wait for the mid-October Kickstarter funds to be delivered or we’ll miss holiday deliveries by a month. Delays also happen on-press. Always. How long these delays will determine delivery. I will be regularly posting updates to his project to communicate delivery expectations.

What is the shipping money going toward?
Shipping also takes care of various order processing, packaging costs, and pick-and-pack fees, that more experienced Kickstarter creators roll into their product price. It also includes shipping fees. Overseas costs will include additional fees from an EU-based fulfillment company and I am working to pay for the import fees. I cannot 100% guarantee this until I sign a quote from overseas fulfillment partners–and I am still working on getting paperwork together for this.
Additional copies will be shipped at roughly half-the cost of the first copy.
Backers will NOT be charged more or less than what is listed on the Kickstarter.

Will I be able to buy multiple copies?
Yes. After the Kickstarter ends, transactions are made for the next two weeks. I’ll be able to send surveys which will collect your address info (etc.) and provide you with the option to buy multiple copies. These multiple copies will also be Kickstarter Editions (not the Amazon version).
Additional copies will be shipped at roughly half-the cost of the first copy.

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
